My Top Albums of 2009

I did this last year and thought I’d try it again…. This is my list of my top albums that came out in 2009…it only has five on it, mostly because I’m a poor college student and I actually BUY albums. I will list at the end the albums from this year that I still want to get (when I have the $$). I’m not a music critic, so you won’t get very good explanations for why they are placed where they are…so without further ado…

1a. Awake by Skillet
After hearing how good they are in concert, now I have to go do that. This album is great and rocking!

1b. Hello Hurricane by Switchfoot
I own all 7 of their albums and I must say that this is the best one.

2. Bomb in a Birdcage by A Fine Frenzy
I got hooked with her first album and eagerly awaited this one and it didn’t disappoint.

3. brand new eyes by Paramore
I must have a thing for red-headed female vocalists…

4. Fangs! by Falling Up
I’d say this is not as good as their last album, Captiva. The weird song titles became a little too much.

Albums from 2009 that I want but am too poor to purchase right now:
  • Welcome to the Masquerade by Thousand Foot Krutch
  • The Outsiders by needtobreathe
  • Innocence and Instinct by Red
