I wanted to relive one of the most amazing Vikings games ever. Everyone thought the game was over, but I had faith that they COULD make it happen. And they did-and I’m pretty sure I blacked out in the bar I watched it at and was screaming, hugging complete strangers from the great land of 10,000 lakes, bonding over one great moment with beer pouring down on us, purple and yellow confetti flying overhead, and the unmistakable song playing in the background:

Skoal Vikings let’s win this game, skol Vikings honor your name.

Go get a first down, then get a touchdown-rock em, sock em, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Skoal Vikings run up the score, you’ll hear us yell for more…

V-I-K-I-N-G-S

Skoal, Vikings let’s go :)

—10-1 baby, let’s go Superbowl!!

Still gives me chills!  I think Lewis’s part in this was underplayed, which is too bad, because it was an exceptional catch.  I don’t claim to be a football genius, but I’d think it took some skill to make sure he was in bounds for that reception.  I’m solidly Team Favre, but I also want to give Greg Lewis a gigantic kiss for this play.

cannot stop watching this…
